Packing a punchy 181 hp turbo engine and cutting-edge tech, the Geely Boyue 10th Anniversary Champion Edition arrives to shake up the global SUV market. It’s a high-value package celebrating a decade of sales dominance.

To celebrate its milestone, Geely introduced a unique aesthetic package. The exclusive Time Blue paint provides a deep finish that catches the light differently than standard options. This signature color marks the SUV as a commemorative piece.
While many new vehicles simply add stickers for special editions, this model features integrated chrome accents. These visual cues widen the front profile, giving it a more planted look on the road. The boomerang-shaped inserts add a sharp, modern touch.
The front fascia retains the shield-shaped grille with vertical bars. This setup optimizes airflow to the engine bay, ensuring the mechanical components stay cool during heavy use. It also gives the SUV a robust, aggressive face.
The heart of this SUV is a 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It delivers 181 hp and 214 lb-ft (290 Nm) of torque, providing enough grunt for quick merges. Having peak torque at low RPMs means the car feels light and responsive in city traffic.
Power is managed by a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). This DCT system pre-selects the next gear to ensure smooth, rapid shifts without power interruptions. For the driver, this translates to a linear acceleration feel that mimics more expensive sport-utility cars.
Performance is solid for the segment, with a 0-60 mph sprint completed in roughly 7.9 seconds. Fuel efficiency remains a priority, averaging about 36.5 mpg (6.44L/100km) on the test cycle. Turbocharging allows for this balance between highway power and daily fuel economy.
Inside, the cabin features a massive 14.6-inch touchscreen display. It runs the Flyme Auto operating system, which is designed to feel as fast and intuitive as a high-end smartphone. Large screens help declutter the dashboard by integrating most physical controls into a digital interface.
The vehicle is built on the GEEA 3.0 electronic architecture, which acts as the “brain” for all smart features. This hardware supports Level 2 autonomous driving, managing steering and braking on marked lanes. It effectively reduces driver fatigue during long highway commutes or stop-and-go traffic.
A total of 11 active safety systems work in the background at all times. Features like automatic emergency braking use sensors to scan the road for obstacles. This constant monitoring provides an extra layer of protection against sudden stops or distracted driving.
Over in China, the official price tag sits at approximately 96,900 yuan. This converts to roughly $13,400 USD, though early buyers often receive even sharper promotional discounts. This pricing strategy makes high-end tech accessible to a much broader audience.
Such aggressive pricing puts significant pressure on competitors in the compact SUV segment. Many established brands struggle to offer similar power and safety tech at this price point. With 2.37 million units already sold globally, the Boyue has proven its formula works.
Middle-market families typically look for the best mix of interior space and modern features. The manufacturer focused on meaningful updates rather than overcomplicating a successful platform. The result is a mature product that competes purely on value and technology.
