Maserati delivered a one-of-one MCPURA Cielo in Modena this June — a Fuoriserie creation built to mark the Trident’s 100th anniversary, with a livery that pulls straight from the 1926 Tipo 26 racing car

Maserati handed over a truly singular machine in Modena in June 2026 — and singular is not an overstatement. The Tributo 1926, built through the brand’s Fuoriserie bespoke program, was created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the iconic Trident emblem. There is no other like it anywhere in the world.

Back in 1926, Alfieri Maserati drove the Tipo 26 at the Targa Florio — and that race marked the debut of the Trident emblem in motorsport. It was the brand’s first class victory, and the symbol designed by Mario Maserati entered automotive history for good.
Maserati declared 2026 the “Year of the Trident.” Global events, limited editions, and this one-off supercar became the pillars of that celebration. The MCPURA Cielo Tributo 1926 is the most symbolic gesture of all.
The delivery timing was no accident. It happened during the Mille Miglia 2026 as the rally passed through Modena — Maserati’s home city. Hard to imagine a more fitting backdrop.
The car wears Grigio Lamiera Matte — a flat gray that echoes the raw metal bodywork of early 1900s race cars. It’s not subtle, and it’s not trying to be. The color choice grounds the car visually in its historical context.
Over that matte gray, accents in Rosso Capannelle, Blu Infinito, and Bianco Pastello mirror the same color references found on the original Tipo 26. On the hood, the number 5 — Alfieri Maserati’s race number at the 1926 Targa Florio.
At the rear, two Trident badges appear side by side: the current Maserati logo and the original version Mario Maserati drew a century ago. On the door sills, the signatures of Alfieri Maserati and Guerino Bertocchi, the two men behind the 1926 Targa Florio run.
The 20-inch Cyclonic wheels get a diamond-cut finish with red accents. An external carbon fiber package rounds out the exterior. The result is a modern supercar that references history without turning into a museum piece.
Inside, the cabin received equally bespoke treatment through the Fuoriserie program. Seats and panels are wrapped in white leather specified exclusively for this build — nothing carried over from a standard spec sheet.
The headrests carry an embroidered Trident in blue thread, a quiet contrast against the white leather. The Sonus faber Premium Audio system — 695 watts, 12 speakers — is part of the package as well.
Heated seats, driver assistance systems, and a front lift complete the equipment list. It functions as a daily-usable collector’s car — a balance Maserati has always pursued at the top of its lineup.
The Nettuno is a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 developed entirely in-house by Maserati — the same unit that launched in the MC20 and carried forward into the MCPura. At 621 HP and 538 lb-ft of torque, the 0–60 mph time of 2.9 seconds puts it in direct conversation with rivals like the Ferrari F8 Spider and the McLaren 720S Spider.
Rear-wheel drive only — a deliberate call for a car that values driver engagement over all-weather traction. There’s no hybrid system, no electric motor assist. For a centenary tribute, keeping it pure combustion feels like a principled decision.
Top speed exceeds 199 mph. For the segment, that’s competitive — and more than enough to make clear the Tributo 1926 isn’t just a styling exercise.
Maserati has been threading its centenary story through 2026 with a mix of history and product strategy. The Tributo 1926 is the most exclusive piece of that calendar, but it isn’t the only one.
The brand also collaborated with watchmaker Bianchet on the UltraFino Maserati timepiece, limited to 100 units and inspired by the MCPura. Italy’s Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy issued a commemorative postal stamp marking the Trident’s centenary — an institutional acknowledgment rarely given to car brands.
Delivering the Tributo 1926 during the Mille Miglia was Maserati’s way of making the statement in front of the right audience. One car. One owner. A hundred years of Trident — all in a single machine.
