The Return of the Manual V12

Touring Superleggera is bringing 1990s driving dynamics into 2026 with the new Veloce12 Coupé. This exclusive restomod uses the iconic Ferrari 550 Maranello as its mechanical foundation. Global production will be strictly capped at just 30 units.

The Italian coachbuilder focused on modernizing the chassis and design while retaining its analog soul. Buyers must provide their own donor car and pay a starting price of €690,000 (roughly $750,000). High demand and a slow, hand-built production process will dictate delivery timelines.

Lightweight Design and Construction

The original steel and aluminum body panels were entirely replaced with custom carbon fiber. This structural change significantly reduces curb weight while increasing the coupe’s overall torsional rigidity. The exterior styling respects the original 1990s proportions but adds functional aerodynamic upgrades.

Lighting has been updated to modern LED systems featuring a minimalist design front and rear. The front bumper now includes redesigned air intakes to improve V12 cooling efficiency. Custom 19-inch wheels are wrapped in 255/35 front and 305/30 rear performance tires.

Raw Powertrain Performance

Under the long hood sits the classic naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V12 engine. Engineers fitted a new carbon fiber intake system and completely overhauled the cooling management. A custom Supersprint sport exhaust was installed to improve flow and amplify the V12 exhaust note.

These powertrain upgrades result in a total output of 503 hp at 7,000 rpm. All that power is sent to the rear wheels exclusively through a six-speed manual transmission. The setup intentionally avoids heavy electronic intervention to guarantee a pure mechanical driving feel.

Official specs show a 0 to 60 mph sprint in approximately 4.4 seconds. Flat out, the coupe will reach a top speed of 199 mph. Fuel economy sits around an estimated 10 MPG combined, meaning you will become very familiar with the local gas station.

Dynamics and Interior Finish

The original 550 Maranello chassis received specific structural reinforcements to handle modern cornering loads. The suspension now utilizes a custom adaptive damper setup calibrated by Tractive. Stopping power was also massively upgraded with a tailor-made Brembo brake system.

The cabin blends a classic layout with modern machining and premium finishing processes. The interior is wrapped in hand-stitched Italian leather, natural fabrics, and machined metal accents. The dashboard retains physical analog gauges, preserving the driver-focused environment that purists expect.
